The Yamaha R6 2017 is Already Seen at the Curves of Mulholland

Just a couple of weeks after its international presentation to the press at the Circuit de Almeria, the first Yamaha R6 2017 have already been seen by the winding curves of Mulholland in California, one of the favorite roads for bikers of the coast West of the United States that every weekend brings together thousands of two and four wheeled vehicles.

In the video, recorded by the RNickeyMouse youtuber, you can see two units the new R6 2017 in action, one blue and one white with glowing yellow rims, an exclusive combination for the US market that will not be available in Europe, where only you can choose in blue or black.

According to official figures provided by Yamaha, the YZF-R6 2017 delivers 87.1 kW (116.8 hp) at 14,500 rpm, with a maximum torque of 61.7 Nm at 10,500 rpm, figures that are below the 2016 Model, which reached 91 kW of power (122.1 hp) at the same speed, a reduction of power motivated by the adaptation of the engine (very similar to that of 2016) to the Euro4 standard.

The Yamaha R6 2017 wheith in 190 kilos with all liquids (gasoline included), only 1 kilo more than last year’s model. The data is really good if we consider that the 2017 version incorporates new electronics (ABS, TCS Traction Control and QSS Semiautomatic Change) and better part cycle, with 43 mm bars in the front fork and radial four-piston calipers, the Same configuration as the YZF-R1.
